POTLUCK SUPPER  

On Thursday, November 4th, 2004, Coalition members took the opportunity to:

Affirm our vision of Community Living,

bullet

Meet Phil Goodman, new C.E.O. of Community Living B.C.,

bullet

Review our progress towards community governance for community living in British Columbia.

After a delicious dinner and lots of desserts, we had some quick speeches and a slide show:

Linda Perry spoke about the history of the community governance process,

bullet

Lorraine Ward spoke from the perspective of a mother with children who have autism

bullet

Ernie Baatz presented a slide show that showed the many ways that community has shown leadership,

bullet

Maria Glaze & Bryce Schaufelberger presented photo albums to Phil Goodman and Lois Hollstedt,

bullet

and Laney Bryenton talked about our hopes for the future and the current pressing needs of families and individuals in our communities.

Phil Goodman and Lois Hollstedt gave brief overviews of the work of the Interim Authority and promised greater communication and participation beginning in the next two weeks.
