Given the changes and opportunities in Community Living and the current financial climate, it is important that the needs and challenges facing those who have a family member transitioning from high school to adult life (specifically those who are transitioning from Children’s Community Living Services to Adult Community Living Services) be made a priority.  A first meeting has been called for:

Saturday, May 31 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion
2702 Norland Avenue, Burnaby


Lunch will be provided

The purpose of the meeting is to:

1.  Get a good understanding of all the needs and challenges facing families planning for the transition from high school.

2.  Come up with specific solutions and recommendations for actions.

3.  Plan next steps.

For those of you who require care for your family member to be able to attend this meeting, we are arranging for a lounge area next to the meeting room. If you are interested in this option, please contact the Family Support Institute at 604-875-1119 by Friday, May 23, to discuss the needs of your family member.
